Every cup of tea is a personal experience, so naturally there is no one right way to brew – this is down to preference.
Here are some of the ways we recommend:
Using an Infuser
Using a MXT recommended infuser, take one heaped teaspoon of loose leaf tea and place inside the straining end. Place into the cup of your choice, boil your kettle and pour boiling water into the cup. Leave for the suggested brew time for your chosen blend. Remove the infuser and enjoy.
In a teapot
Lift the lid off the teapot. Spoon two heaped teaspoons into either your infuser or the straining basket if your teapot has one. Boil the kettle, and once it has boiled fill the teapot. Leave to brew for the recommended time for that blend, and once it has brewed pour into your preferred cup!
In a French Press
A french press isn’t only useful for coffee – to use it to brew your tea, first spoon in a heaped teaspoon of your blend. Pour a cup of boiling water into the french press. (If you want to make more tea just double these instructions.). Leave for the suggested brew time, press the plunger and pour your tea!
Spoon it straight in!
It’s not actually necessary to use an infuser or other device when brewing – if you want you can just drink it with the leaves in.
To do this, take one heaped teaspoon of the loose leaf tea of your choice and place into a cup. Pour boiling water into cup. Leave to brew (and cool) for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
These are only a few of the ways – get creative with it find your preference and tell us about it!
